Valentines Day is Coming!

It is almost Valentines Day, and I am starting to worry that I won't think of a good idea of something to do for Jeff. Jeff has been working so hard lately with school and the kids and his job, and I wanted to show my appreciation by doing something special for him on Valentines Day. I am going to continue to think about it, but I thought I'd see if anyone else has any ideas to share. I don't have a ton of money to spend, but I do have some. As long as it is under $50, I should be fine. Thanks in advance!

I'm giving brad 10 envelopes, one for each month of the rest of the year. in each one is a picture of a fun free date we'll do sometime during that month (picnic, play tennis, go to the temple...) I did also put in three that cost money and just got the tickets/gift card and put that in the envelope (movie, a play and eating out). I'll give him the whole thing on valentines, but he can't open the other ones until that month then we'll decide what day works best that month to do it.

I love the ideas that Sarah and Missy shared. And I am going to be cooking Dave's favorite meal for him. Have fun with it!

Last year I posted a blog about "Love Lists" where you each write a list about how you like to be loved. I'll have to repost the link on my blog, because it was a fun and helpful thing to do. I also like do the 14 days of Valentines. I did it while we were dating and will try to do it again this year. What you do is do something kind, thoughtful, loving or romantic each day starting today through Valentines. Maybe put together his favorite lunch for work or special breakfast early one day, a planned date night or candies on the bed or renting his favorite movie or love note etc.

Sigh...Because I don't make money...I always feel lame spending money on my man. He always buys me something though...so I usually write him a love note and make him a yummy meal and decorate the house...I've started making Valentines more of a Family holiday - we get things for the girls and play together. The romance happens for us after the kids are in bed. (wink wink) I think it is nice to not be pressured into spending money or stressing out on a socially designated 'love-day'. I do decorate the house and remember my loved ones...but...anyway; be sure to let us know what you decide to do and how it all goes! You're a great wife!
